Once the system detects an intrusion the siren (and strobe if installed) will activate and the monitoring station is notified. The monitoring station will then call the premise, as most of the alarms received are false alarms. If no response or appropriate response by a person at the premise then the monitoring station will call, from a list you have supplied, you or a friend, neighbour, relative or a private alarm response company.
TELEPHONE CONNECTION LOSS.
To protect against the failure of the primary telephone line, either by natural events or by an act of sabotage, a GSM cellular backup unit can be connected to your security control panel.
How it Works
The GS3055-I is installed between the telephone connection of a
control panel and telephone line. When used in a backup role, the
communicator assesses the connection to the PSTN phone line,
and if that has failed, it then connects to the GSM network to send
an alarm signal to the monitoring station. In a primary role, the
communicator simply sends the alarm transmission over the GSM
network immediately.
The GS3055-I has been listed by UL for Residential Fire and
Burglary and Commercial Burglary installations.
Monitored security alarm systems are recognized in Canada as an important contributor to the securing of life, property and possessions.
